Welcome to the not-so-sexy side of shopping – the questions, the policies, the “what ifs.”
We’ve kept it simple, honest, and (hopefully) clear enough to read with one eye open and a coffee in hand.
If your question isn’t answered here, give us a shout via chat, WhatsApp or email – we’re fast, friendly, and usually smell like citrus or coffee.
1. Scent-sational Products, Real Results
Our essential oils and candles are made with love and high-quality ingredients — crafted to support your mood and make your space smell amazing. But just to be clear: we’re not medical professionals or certified aromatherapists. None of our products are intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any illness or disease.
All information we share about essential oil benefits is based on general online research. We encourage all clients to do their own research before using any oils or aromatherapy products — especially if pregnant, nursing, on medication, or living with health conditions. Some essential oils, even though 100% pure, can be harmful to children or animals if used incorrectly. Please do your homework and consider chatting to a professional aromatherapist or doctor before use.
2. Payments That Keep It Peaceful
We accept card payments via YOCO (safe, secure, and encrypted), or EFT/bank deposit — and you’ll receive our verified banking details via email if you choose that option.
This is the only time we’re not joking — your safety is taken care of.
3. Delivery That Doesn’t Drag
Orders over R599 get free delivery (because you deserve it). We usually ship within 1 working day, but if we’re extra busy, it may take 2–4 working days. Either way, we’ll keep you updated if there’s any delay.
In very rare cases, if the courier charges more than your order total or eats into our profit, we reserve the right to adjust the shipping cost, refund you, or (if we’re feeling generous and highly caffeinated) cover it ourselves.
That said, shipping issues or surprise charges almost never happen — so don’t stress. We work with great delivery partners and keep things running smooth.
4. Carefully Packed with Love (and Paper… or Bubble Wrap if We Must)
Every single order is packed by hand, double and triple checked, and monitored to make sure you get exactly what you paid for. We take packing seriously — because opening your box should be just as satisfying as lighting that candle.
We use recyclable paper packaging whenever possible, and only use bubble wrap if your items need some extra TLC. If something goes wrong, we’ll make it right.
5. Out of Stock? We’ve Got a Plan
If something you ordered is out of stock after checkout (it happens!), we’ll do our best to remake or restock it quickly. If we can’t, you’ll get a full refund — no stress, no drama.
6. Returns & Refunds
Not totally happy? Let us know within 7 days and we’ll do our best to make it right.
Please note: due to hygiene reasons, we can’t accept returns on opened essential oils or used candles.
7. Offers That Make Scents
Promo codes and discounts are only valid during the stated promo period and can’t be combined — unless we’re in a particularly generous mood (or had two coffees instead of one).
8. We’re Human — With a Coffee Habit
Sometimes a typo slips past or tech misbehaves. If something looks odd or off, just give us a shout — we’ll sort it out right after our next flat white.
9. Just So You Know…
We reserve the right to update our terms, pricing, product details, policies, or offers at any time without notice.
We’ll always aim to keep things fair and fabulous — but the final say is ours.
10. Invoices, Payments & Stock Holding
We will never ask for payment without first sending you an official invoice from our website. If someone contacts you for payment without one — it's not us, so please check in with us directly.
Orders are only processed once payment is received in full, and we can’t reserve or hold stock if payment hasn't come through.
Our registered business name is Pourd (Pty) Ltd, and you’ll see this name on your official order invoice (not necessarily on your banking app).
